There's this saying
"Leopard never changes its spots" - I shall dedicate this to my SM. SIGH! will tell u more once im in the mood.

On our meetup yesterday, it was super great, after almost 20 years for both Me & Raz to finally catch up with SU!

3 hours seemed short..especially when we were exchanging unexpected news - both good and bad.

They were amazed that I could recollect so many events, occurences and facts.
hmmm, didnt make much effort to remember, really....it just stayed in my memorybox.

Looking at it, we will be meeting up often. After so many years to finally keep in touch, im not gonna lose this friendship...i just hope we can be BFFs!

Been boss as it is..she's been so bossy and getting into everyone's nerves.
Been trying not to complain or else my pahala will all go to her. Tak nak jadi muflis kat akhirat nanti.

Cant wait for this Sunday to meet Su & Raz from Chong Shan Pri.
We have not had such meetup since 1986!! that is a lllllllllloooooooooog time!

Im so glad to have found my old classmates and keeping in touch eversince.

Sue, I shall upload our photo on that day and see if u recognise them.

#409 - bake to bond

cant wait to take a bite

I've decided to do the things which both of us enjoyed doing together for our bonding time.
Drop the idea completely for a day out at Down Town East (In fact i did not tell her bout this)
and What better way to spend the long weekend - to bake.

Ezzaty had her hands on the mixing, folding and alittle of baking,..
started with purchasing the ingredients, taught her where, what and how to get them.
Brought her to the store, she helped to look out, reading each label carefully and more eager to dump them in the basket.

Our first baking session was to make cupcakes. (it was my first attempt too)
Turned out great though they were alittle too big...the next time i shall use smaller cups.

2nd was to bake her favourite chocolate chips oats cookies...if only i didnt modify the recipe, it should have turned out so fine. The other time, Mak was complaining that the cookies were abit too sweet, so this time round, i reduce on the sugar portion and add a little bit of salt..well, ugrh saltish!

oh never mind, i thought of baking more for the weeks to come....im sure we gonna have more trial and errors...!

A day spent on the mgt report and i still could not get it done and over with,URH!
Eversince the new system, it has never been easy to draft the financial statement.
I cant even trust the report anymore.

I guess i have to move on answering the queries from the mgrs on Monday. That will have to wait till the audit.
i was assign to conduct internal compliance in one of the childcares, and my partner is our big boss.

I'll be up to my neck till A returns to office. its about time he has a good long rest but its quite untimely.
I believe Allah s.w.t has better plan for me next month, with all the possibilities laid out by SM during my appraisal, I guess its best to ignore them completely.

How could your superior visualise the negativities, shouldnt she be potraying a positive image?

I still could not swallow her words. like, she wouldnt want to hold me back climbing the corporate ladder esplly when the market is so lucrative...what nonsense? what corporate ladder to climb when im hitting the big 4O! im happy enough to be employed...yeah, i may want to have that Bsc but am not that ambitious for a dynamic career...

getting a stable job at my age is a blessing enough...how high can i be? im grateful to be where i am now...and i dont think myself so marketable and highly in demand...im not a banker...

Even my other colleagues think she must be out of her mind...

I would just take it that she has the best interest for me...oh well,..im here to clear the mess, not to uphold justice or whatever.

I prefer the big boss to be my immediate superior but then who could predict anything..he may be worse off than SM huh?

Im not sure if its pure coincidence.
A smsed last night that he had gotten Chicken Pox and so will not be coming.
and the very this morning, SM smsed to inform she's taking a childcare sick leave because her youngest had been having fever for 2 days, worried it may be HFMD.

I mean, yeah, its been 2 days, why now?
when Im shorthanded..

this wasnt the first time.
Just last week, She called the softwarwe engineer, set an appointment date so that both of us could be there to assist in the programming and on that very day, she took urgent leave. and for some reason, the appointment was cancelled and she wasnt happy to learn about it when i called to inform..yadayadyay!

im not in the mood to work, my schedule wasnt as planned..
i'll be multi tasking between 2 tasks for the next 10 days....good luck to me!

Was thinking how to spend the coming holiday and weekends.
Other than having the mother-daughter bonding, which i have no idea where to head to, im very much clueless. ..(downtown east, let me think about it..far leh!)

Eddris will be off tomorrow, i reckon both of us going out to buy foodstuff for the whole family. its better than having our meal outside, with the crowd and all...im craving for satays!

Friday morning, i have a date with Mak to Geylang Serai pasar. R will be visiting us in the afternoon. so i guess we will be spending time at home the whole day...its okay, great company with great ambience, what more to ask for, ha!

Saturday morning, Eddris will be accompaning me for the lessons and then he will be off for work. I think i will be bringing the kids for a short walk....

Sunday?im going for an early jog!...and then chill out at Mc Cafe...hahah!

we will not be going down to JB, for the longest time since the jam still sucks.
I wonder for how long..there goes my monthly shopping...purchasing power over there makes me all excited to spend.....hmmm, that have to wait.

Im still considering the option.

Mak has been asking me to take up the course and acquire the skill, ages ago.
I didnt give it much thought then, not untill 2 weeks ago after watching a documentary.
It struck me that its a lucrative hobby.

Firstly, is to sign up for a class.
Problem is the time schedule - impossible.
I work on alternate saturdays. How to compete in 7 straight weeks.
The weekday class is also out of reach.
Work ends at 6pm, it will be very rush to reach there by 6.30pm...

I cant take one thing at a time.
I cant wait to get this done, then proceed to do that.
I have to do things concurrently.

*updates*
Aqua aerobic starting in April.
Should be able to lose some weight in couple of weeks, hopefully.

Iqra's test is on this coming Monday.
By end of this year, I shall be able to read the Quran with taranum, Insya-Allah.

I hope by June, I will no longer be driven around.
This one, im alittle bit skeptical. Firstly, Im not too keen to drive, its just too bad that getting a licence is no longer an option but was forced to. Or else, our car will be collecting dusts and battery goes flat often. at this rate, we may have to opt for public transportation since Eddris works on 3 rotational shift and he ride to work. sigh!

we cared less about the rain, no doubt the cable car was slower but at that speed, we were able to enjoy the view better.
Getting ready for our Luge!
up in the skyride
its landing time..too soon!

On leave today to take the FTT and i passed!

I didnt have much confidence on this test compared to the BTT.
I was all prepared to see FAIL on the screen.
Sweet victory, my 1st attempt.
Alhamdulalilah, syukran to Allah S.w.T.

I pray for my sis that she will pass for her oncoming test in April.

with this, our much anticipated trip to Sentosa was such a treat!
I had pre-arranged for this outing for 2 possibilities.
If i had failed, it will be a consolation, and for passing, its a celebration.

Luge, Skyride and cable car...n the company i was with..
Im sure to come back for more.

Pictures to be uploaded.

Whats wrong with online reservation?
Cant trust correspondence via email.
It seems that i really need to give them a call.
One is keeping mum when requested for extension, the other gave us such a short notice to confirm booking.SIGH.
I have never encountered such problem before.

Alhamdulilah, Allah S.W.T has better plan ahead for me.
I was so reluctant to be part of the team.
Im really not into gatherings and events especially when it means I have to sacrifce my weekly class.
Its only once a week i shall get to remind myself spiritually.
One's Iman fluctuates often, ya see.

Im so glad not to have skipped today's lesson.
I learnt a new Ta'auwuz, beside the norm that we were taught.
This one is really useful.
And I always thought there is only one and only Ta'auwuz.
Priceless.

Its been awhile.
Eversince Najm's birthday, the days passed so fast that I didnt realised its been a week this blog has not been updated.
Anyway, life is routine, been thinking of ways to spend the weekends with my little ones.
Alia bought for me Muslimah swimwear as a belated birthday gift, thanks Sis muack!
I guess its time to dip in...and Im so looking forward to let Najmi play in the pool, im sure in no time he will overcome his fear.
I hope we could be in the water often, it will be great for the kids..in the pool in the morning...

The Aqua aerobic will kick off soon, its the time schedule needs to be compromised. Monday & Thursday are definitely out.
Need to shed some fats..hah! received an email from NH, former PHS, she was wondering whats up with me losing the weight when im already so skinny..OMG, it was decades ago I was skinny, now I AM so Fat...I cant fit in most of my kebayas..that tummy really need a miracle to be as flat as the airport runway!

Im feeling drowsy now, must be the coughing syrup.
My cough was dry..and so hard that i had chestpains.

Its time to rest and recuperate. same 2 u too, Ani!

ta-ta!

Thank you Ayie, Ummi and Cik Sumi for the birthday wishes.
Had a simple birthday celebration from the beloved after maghrib, so simple that there wasnt any decors and games.

But im grateful cos Ibu bought for me my favourite mini laptop. I guess its a strong warning from her not to meddle with her Macbook anymore..okies, i got the message.

oh yes, never thought that Bibik would get me something more special than her speciality which is to prepare my milk.
she bought for me a walkie talkie sets....gee....its fun to put it on my ears, but i wonder why everyone puts near their mouths??weird ah....(wipe saliva)

I love the cake which Ibu bought, its creamy and chocolate and got balloons on it...its smaller than kakak's and not pre-ordered, though my name was on it but nevermind, i had heard Ibu been repeatedly mentioned there will another grand celebration on Sunday...can i have a bigger cake and real laptop this time??ibu..do u hear me?

well, i just have to pray hard...meantime, these are the pics taken, i wasnt all dressedup cos Ayah was not around to join us, he's busy working to fork out more money on me..hooray!....*wink*

Happy 2nd Birthday Ezzul Najmi, thanks for the speech, muack!
p.s: we were so glad that you werent born in the leap years...

I met up with a long lost childhood friend, from my pre-school years recently.(kawan sekolah makan)
its kinda expected. Mak had told me that she's in the same Iqra class, so obvioulsy when I joined 3 weeks ago, we met.
Its weird how she can totally forgotten about her childhood life, the memories seem to be wiped out totally. I waved at her, and when she waved back, i thought she had acknowledged me. But when Mak asked if she knew me, she gave a flat No..duh!

you bet, i had to explain to bring her back to memory lane. who, where, what, when, etc....
she confessed that she had lost most of her childhood memory and if friends ever bumped into her and commented that she's arrogant, cant blame them yah... but seriously, i begin to wonder if anything major ever happened to her that she's in this state.

its nice though, when she finally recalled, we exchanged contact details and she's been religiously updating me via facebook and send interesting emails...thanks pal!

yeah, we have alot to catch up but not the right place to engage into long conversation.
The moment class ends, she disappear into thin air, so fast!

**I'll be sitting for the Iqra exam in 2 weeks time, thereafter, we will be promoted to book 5 - Tilawah & Tajwid.
Im so glad to be able to read this far. Im grateful that Allah s.w.t has eased the path for me to pick up the pieces and acquire the knowledge. I thought after A's incident, i will never be able to read again, let alone been taught by someone like Ustaz. Alhamdulilah, syukran.

***I'm on for the Aqua Aerobic. I guess there isnt any hip hop aerobic available yet.(sad5x)
will tell you more once class commences.

Ani,
Im down with flu and a bad sore throat.
Had it after came back from Larkin. (skipped Faraid class)
Must be the hot sun that gave me the headache on the way there.
I wasnt all cheery, in fact been telling the children to keep their noise down.

Im thinking to go for MC for complete recovery, but there are so many things to be completed, im sure i cant rest well. we'll see how.

Our Jb trip this time is more for leisure than the normal grocery thingy.
Both me and mak had our haircuts, told the sweet hairdresser that im for bob and slope. what i got - Victoria Posh's style instead hahah! Told her about my dandruff problem, i was recommended with this potion to be applied and no wash for 2 days after that. i just did and i hope it does wonder. you know how i have tried all kinds of shampoo...and totally hopeless.

Bought Najmi his favourite hi-5 dvd, he's speechless, didnt ask for anything after that....hmm....must be so touched by my gesture...

speaking of Hi5, i get emotional nowadays watching that show, how i have missed so many of their shows, and i only foud out lately that the show had a kickoff since 1998! On and off, its going to be a decade, been this long is something to be amazed for.

Then, I was so sure that the group will always be together seeing how Charli didnt make any move to leave when she first got married, but....

Now, it's Hi2 after Kathleen left to raise her child, Tim was forced to leave after the motorbike accident and just 2 days ago, Charli annouced her retirement to pursue challenging acts...(i managed to get the juice of the latest Hi-5 via their website recently) i guess, it started with one followed by the others.....

and i found this video, its rare to see them perform as adults...and they are good!

N called on Monday to inform that the few of us from PHS - 3 of them were our seniors will be organising a gathering.
Im sure there and then that it was impossible for me to take leave since the closing is just round the corner and it happen to be Najmi's 2nd birthday on the 28th. She was so excited about it and wanted very much that i should be joining in.

After 2 days, I had even more agenda on hand, out of blue, there is a GM session, printer testing, finalisation of accounts, the list goes on, yep, i have to forego the meetup session...sorry gals!

There will be a bowling competition between the Parent-Subsidiary games meet in 2 weeks time...I was chosen..and im so not looking forward...what do yo think? I have never been to a bowling alley!

oh well, im feeling kinda bored.
I have to work tomorrow, it's my turn, so soon....
after work, have to rush for the weekly class, i wont miss it , its Akhlak.

I've made another pair of glasses just then, this time it's from a different optician.
Thanks Mun for accompanying me and the recommendation. The guy is indeed helpful and playful. He and his mum gave the exra miles service so that i will not regret my choice, letting me try more than 10 pairs...i like the Disney frame but its kinda too childish...

I seem to be down with luck when glasses are concern.
This would be my 3rd pair since December!

Sidetrack a little, since May 2007, one of the local bank has expanded its wing to penetrate into the islamic banking.
I was surprised that S was one of the staff to be transfered there...she's fortunate. While many of my friends with degree in B & F could not get a decent bank job, she offers nothing more than her ITE cert......

#393 - sunday

Ni,
Last sunday, the 5 of us were at the Bottle tree park.
I was there almost a year ago with 2 younger kids and much slimmer husband, (hahaha), this time alot seems to be taken place.

The well has been closed,
the playground looked run down,
the swings were relocated but one good thing, there is an additional stuff for them to enjoy......

#392 -

Pictures speak for themselves
Our future chef, he knows where we keep the utensils and how to use them...
Mun was tutoring our playful Ezzaty...
Najmi was having his shower, posed for me when he saw my hp, smart enough to cover his....
looking after the kids, didnt do much to keep them busy, they knew best what to do.
Just had to keep an eye from far, 2 people sitting on a chair, no wonder this is the 2nd chair Mun had...and yes, i was too tempted to doze off but you know, both of them will start screaming and shouting at each other, trying their best on the keyboards!

#391 - lazy

What a lame title!

Yeah, after our picnic, i had been feeling so worn out.
Its not as if i had been swimming for laps, in fact, i was only busy entertaining the kids, carrying Najmi and pushing his pram, that's all. i think only twice i was at the beach, most of the time was under the shade, enjoying the snacks.

Ani, dont be jealous, we have many outings planned ahead, so you have not missed a good one yet, should i say we will not let you miss them.

I had been catching up with my beauty sleep. On the lappie once a while but hesitate to update, not much to blog about, im such an ordinary person, if you dont know me by now *big grin*

And Eddris is on morning shift eversince the Sentosa Affair, bad timing to go out, so being a couch potato is STILL the best.
I read all the 3 magazines borrowed, we may be visiting the library again....to return the books or else big saman on the way.

#390 - Sentosa Affair

Ani, I failed to snap many pics of our Sentosa day, the batteries died earlier than i thought.
Must remember not to buy that brand...(mak was 'membebeling' at me just then, "lain kali dah tau nak jalan2, beli battery bagus sikit"....hahah!)

The weather was just perfect for a picnic.
Was surprised that Sentosa was crowded with tourists from the mainland, makes me wonder - dont they have to do visitings back home? maybe our culture and theirs arent the same afterall.
(years back, when it was CNY,it wasnt that packed, you see)

yes, Alia and family decided to join us at the last minute, we met them after few calling2x as usual. (where are u now?im here already lah! ha! so far...its here around the dolphin lagoon..*bluek* i was like it will be ages before we finally get to gather)

we had our picnic at Palawan Beach, didnt expect that many foreign workers were there. (come to think of it, where in other parts of SG would they rather spend, Sentosa offers so much than Zoo, JBP etc)

somehow, it was hilarious looking at them having so much fun, some acted like gays, hugging each other, well, maybe it's their way of friendhip thingy. But Bro Fai had to scold a group of them for changing into their swimming attires in front of us, they didnt bother to change in the toilets, doing them publicly..sigh! (yeah man, i dont mind if they have the built like Keanu Reeves..heheh)

The kids had fun with the sand & water excluding Najmi, who was very cranky, i guess he is not the outdoor type, clinging to either me or mak and screamed the moment his feet touched the sands. Held me tight when i was along the beach, showing him the small waves....hmmmm aper lah!

Had enough of the beach, we went around the Island. (actually we were looking for a good spot to perform prayer)
The Merlion stop had the most attraction. It's the flowers showcase, sumthing like that. On top of the hill, is the Imbiah Attraction where there are the Luge, Skyride and that Tower thingy.
We didnt get to try on either one of them, the queue was just impossible!

But nevermind, there will always be next time....soon, i promise that we will all have fun there again, just make sure it will not be on any public holiday, had enough of the crowds.
I was so clumsy, i missed a step and fell, quickly straightened my posture, but Alia saw it all and had a good laugh..alah malunya!

here are the few pictures taken, Im sure Mun will upload more @ her blog.

#389

she got an escort next to her....

We are going for a picnic @ Sentosa tomorrow.
Mak was telling us to prepare the things so that time will not be wasted.
I anticipate a jam towards the entrance, so leaving home early is a good thing.
Ezzaty was very excited about the sea, sand and her Muslimah Swimwear! I hope the weather is fine, infact hope everything will be fine, insya-allah!
