Went to Boon Lay to buy our much desired carpets and rugs.
Its been 2 years since the last time we bought.
From there, we visited our fav Uncle - only me with Eddris, Azimah & Ezzaty.
Cousin Aishah had delivered Baby Danial two weeks ago.
He's such an angel, held him in my arms and he was so quiet throughout.
I had made a hamper of baby's necessities, I hope it will come in handy.

Went home to place the carpets and rugs, dropped the kids, Ezzaty had motion sickness.
She was fasting, with empty stomach, her head could not take the swerves, curves, turns and what have you in the car.
so she was not keen to tag along for shopping, Azimah would not come along without her. They are like twins separated from birth.

Headed to Geylang to meet Mak & Mun who were there earlier on from Bugis.
I could not find the covers that I wanted but Eddris managed to get another pair of pants - raya sakan nampak bang!

Yesterday, both me & Ani went to Bussorah street from Woodlands, we took 961 which was a longer route.
It was like ages before we finally reached our destination...The bus took us down to memory lane - Quees's close, Farrer Road, Upper Bukit Timah...places where we grew up....ahhhh! those years were our greatest moments - no worries and full of funs!

Today IFtar was simply Mee Soup...I have not had any rice since the beginning of Ramadhan,
So after Isyak, I asked Yati to cook for me some omelette to go with rice and kuah asam rebus - Heaven!

Iftar on Tuesday was welcoming - I mean once a while its great to break fast with your colleagues at the workplace. Even better when the food was prepared and bought by the guys!

Yes, when the boys did the marketing, its all up to their tastes..splendid spread!
Better still when I did not have to fork out a single cent, all paid under the staff welfare.

Weekends passed very fast.
Left at 4 am in the morning for KL right after sahur. Perform Fajr prayer at Muar stopover surau - I thought i was in Madinah. The quietness, the chill and the aura reminded me of that place. reached KL around 9 am, Eddris drove, sped all the way.. i thought it was still early to shop but most stalls were ready to sell their stuff. Kain songket is still the hot item there, practically everywhere.

Manage to get suitable outfits for the family even, Najmi. I was contented with what I bought - an outfit was good enough. I thought of wearing the past year for the 2nd and subsequet days of visiting. So i was not bothered to look for another outfits, instead we shopped at Sogo, having sales up to 70% - how timely. with purchasing power and sales - shopping is madness.

The hot weather tire us all, Ezzaty was all weak n soft but she was perservered to fast till the end, alhamdulilah, she succeeded.

Had enough of KL, we headed to Melaka after solat Asar, reached Mahkota Parade 5 minutes before iftar.
Had burger king and yes, upsize please!

When i thought i was done with the shopping, found a perfect outfit for mother and daughter - modern kurungs for the 2nd day of visiting...

reached home at 2.40am, had our sahur and slept at 4am....all in all, it was worth the trip.
bought all in the list within the budget and get to visit 2 states within 24 hrs, it was a short getaway with mission not impossible.

I thank Allah for the safe trip and thank Eddris, we slept throughout the ride, ya know, he was behind the wheels accelerating every seconds to keep himself awake and reach our destination fast and safe. he slept like a log eversince we returned.

it does not always help to be precise, specific and detailed.
got myself into unnecessary trouble-especially when you try to explain to somebody like SM.
Can't understand why she does not understand them when she's been managing the entire account for almost 3 years.
I could only conclude she does not bother to learn..SIGH!

On Monday, Im one of the management team involve in the internal audit.
SM had briefed me over lunch, she emphasized that I must be firm and not to be so lenient.
Due to the mad rush for P n L closure, I was excused to audit at our childcare centre in the morning.
So it's down to one at the Student Care across our office.

I may be joining the rest for Iftar session at our Eunos Branch. I will not make it on time.
The iftar at our centre on this coming Tuesday, I shall not miss. it would be alot of fun and food, yeah.

I cant sleep...on our way to KL.

Subhanallah, we are already in our 8th days of fasting, time passed super fast.
soon it will be busy days for the whole family - preparing for syawal.
Shall not elaborate any further, i will be kancheong way before the time.

I thought i was ahead of the dateline, who knows so many interruptions and contingencies at the eleventh hour, so much for the determination....and the motivation.

I plan to start work early tomorrow so that I will not have to stay back. SM wants the report before lunch, i gave her 2 days ago but she made so many changes...the funny thing is she was doubtful on the entries-the whole income statement.
you can see the confusion...I mean, if you are not well-versed, then be more humble and accept other's explanation, even from your junior....

fine with me if you think i know nothing, but don't put the blame on me if it does not work out the way you want it.
i know too well not too argue...im happier this way.

I had to lie to discourage the caller who was promoting a new platinum card from an offshore bank or else she will never hang up. Telling her straight in the face that I am a housewife and not earning that per annum requirement.

Almost to breaking fast and I had to smear my pahala!

Not a good time to call and of all calls I had to pick this one - thinking it was a long lost pal.

We came in abit late for the Ramadhan class although Eddris sent us there.
It was pouring heavily, thought we could not make it on time - it was almost 7 and i still had not shower.

Lesson was on maintaining relationship in the Islamic aspect - for mothers, daughters, sisters, friends, cousins, and all kind of bondings. the way to be a better muslim, not just between us and HIM but also amongst ourselves - all mankind.
Ustazah highligted the common mistakes we made knowingly or not, to acknowlegde them and to repent.

Its saddening to learn that a relationship ever turned sour and that you have played a part for it...
how i wish it didnt happen to me but it did.

Its human to err, its easy to say be more forgiving. its hard when you can never forgets. i just try to be a better Muslim each day, try to forget and be more forgiving and be loved for what i am. If all fails, im sure Allah will forgive me, only HE knows if i am sincere.

its hard to please others. * at times its hard to do things without considering others - the consequences and all*

i just hope that whatever i plan, decide and eventually do will lead to the right path to seek both happiness for both worlds.
when im happy and so everyone will be please too - that kinda of thing.

its about making choices, in time to come, whatever i have decided on, i hope its the best choice.
i need HIS guidance, its too pricey to make the wrong move. Time is running fast leaving us behind with all the mistakes and amendments. Move on. Dont look back. and dont ever repeat doing the same mistakes. dont you ever learn? Like i said, its only human to err. oh no!

I did not manage to prepare anything for breakfast.
No side dish, except for the cheesecake that Ani bought to indulge after having Mak's hor fun.

I was in the office till 1pm and upon reaching home, i started off immediately to consolidate my recipes into the files which i had bought from Popular. To date, I had filed more than 500 recipes, another hundred and so more to go. More than i had thought...wow! now, how do i find the time to try out each and everyone of them. I need to streamline to hands on the traditional kueh mueh...:-)

I was searching high and low for a particular recipe, finally when i found, the wet market was already closed.
and time was not on my side, it will be soon to breaking fast...SIGH...!

Tomorrow shall be our first Ramadhan religious lesson @ Istiqamah.
I will not be able to go back to sleep after sahur and fajr prayer....I hope i will not doze off in class.

Salam Mubarak

2nd day of Ramadhan. Not too late to wish all Muslim Eid Mubarak. May Allah bless us all with good health.

Alhamdulilah, it did not drag, i am able to start to fast earlier, though i had lost a day.
Sis S made jelly for us - how generous of her that we brought home 4 cups of jelly each.
I gave away my share of dates since some of the staff are not getting them. Been asking around, finally i gave them to Mariani.

i had to stop working @ 3pm, i could not update when Akbar needed to summarise the receipts.
one of the reason why we were so unproductive, and yes the more we wanted the new accounting software to be implemented immediately. The rest of the hours, i did some search on the degree course which I plan to start in January. sourcing for a better one than APMI has to offer, so far...NIL.

I could not be more happier than having most of the staff to be Muslims.
nobody gonna ask me the same old stuff like why we need to fast, what's the rationale for the sacrifice, why can't we drink like some other faith followers who can drink while fasting, etc. gone were the days of Q & As. not that im against those non-muslims asking but too many times the same questions being asked, i began to doubt the sincerity.

we were given the privilege to knock off half an hour earlier. some extra time for me to do some preparation for the break fast session. I made sausage rolls, eight of it-enough for everybody.

im consolidating all the recipes that i had been compiling all these years - more than 300 of them....
oooh....when will i have the time to try all?

Travelled all the way to Pasir Ris for ACCPAC course.
I was not sure how long the journey might take since I had to take a bus there instead of the train.
I skipped breakfast, reached there 15 minutes earlier, was so happy to have met Akbar there. Unlike him, I know almost nobody.
And the trainer had called to inform we had to start the session an hour later!

I was amazed with the HQ structure - how i wish our finance office would be like this *dream on*
Did not get to see my old sec school mate - NAP. no where to be found twice.

Im coping well with the training, somehow SM as usual very kancheong, Difficult to concentrate on the hands on and listen to her at the same time, it happens all the time. why cant she calm down and let the trainer do her thing.aiyoh!

Cant wait for system to go live, cant wait for the networking, i miss SAP years.
I miss doing things fast and easy. it had been rough and slow eversince i left NEC.
its time for the comeback.

8 on 10

our 8th years of marriage today.
Had an early celebration last night @ Swenson's since Eddris was called up for reservist on 9/11.

Dinner for the 2 of us was unusually quiet without the kids, the mum, the sis-the usual company. Finally able to spend quality time together.

After the meal, we decided to window shop around CP with Eddris had a haircut and bought a DVD player from Courts Megasale. How timely, just when we needed one.
Before heading home, we sat for a chat and had milkshakes @ Mcdonalds...back to the days when were still courting...hehe!

I met Kak D, Ain and Kak Eda @ HEjab IRan. Kak D actually called out for me...I had bypassed them and was miles away....it was a pleasant surprise.

all ready

:-) ahhh...i know one day Eddris will open up and agree with our plan.
we are working towards that, it will take years, but im sure with God's will, we will make it.
Trials and tribulations never fail to colour up our life.
In no time, we will achieve it, meantime, im not gonna have much thought about it.
taking a step a day :-)

Ezzaty is getting very at ease with her life.
she takes things so lightly,,,,
on a better note, she's handling her stress well, heheheh....

9 months into school life, Im training her to prepare for school on her own, taking the initiative to read the time table.
and going to bed early without been told.

I need to check if the books that have been packed are the right ones.
MIssion accomplished.

Another Day @ home

Things turned out bad last night.
First, our uncle D was not home.
Not wanting to impose on him, Mak decided to visit him without prior informing.
We were lucky that Kak Nia had just came back from her shopping spree, or else we had nowhere to go.

Our late dine out at one of the most famous outlet was such a disappointment, so much for the hoo haa..
if they do not brush up on their cleanliness aspect, im sure it will be infamous in no time...

This morning, Mak cooked our favourite breaksfast-Nasi Lemak....:-)
We have not decided yet - to visit Nita...looks like it will be on Syawal, i will get to see that family.
we were supposed to visit each other, being in laws, to have that bonding, time is always not on our side.
Its either we have no time, or they will not be at home....alamak, bila nak game nie.

Change

Change is inevitable.
Everything changes all the time.
And so does my blogskin.
I hope its for the better - back to basic.

Had an early 8th anniversary celebration.
A surprise cake bought by Ani-thanks, its chocolate fudge walnut cake.
It should be coming from either me or eddris, having a 3rd party remembering our wedding date-its an honour really.

Not really into celebrating our anniversary except for sending wishes via sms- i guess we are too complacent.
on our 10th, maybe, we shall have a real celebration....*wink*
we'll see in 2 years time, insya-allah.

THE BLACK N WHITE FRIDAY

Went and did not win any lucky draw prizes - i was not hopeful since I have never wonanything in my life before.

Some pixs taken from our D & D on last Friday in conjuction with the Teacher's Day celebration.
The organising team did a great job with the decor...i had few pictures taken, surely cos I was a newbie.

First time for me to attend a D n D in my 14 years of my working life.
If not because of the strict absentism rule, I would have skip it altogether and enjoy the comfort of spending the weekend with my kids.

Thanks to Mariana N Hubby who were so nice to send me off right infront of my doorsteps...:-)

FOOD n more FOOD with love from former buddies @ work

I was being pampered as usual with a hefty meal w/o having to spend a single cent.
Really paiseh! The nex time I must insist to foot the bill ;p

Last night, the much awaited gathering with former CKOHans was fulfilled @ Esplanade.
They had gathered and were waiting for me at 2HOT Halal cafe, phew! I was only minutes late, considering the journey I had to travel.
by now, i know the place very well-thanks to the Maths Traisl we had recently.

Emailed to them this morning expressing my thanks and looking forward to another gathering at my home for the Raya Feast....they love it, i'm sure.

We had some of these yummy dishes (order one each from the menu to be shared) and then proceeded to MakanSutra for a cup of coffee and camwhoring.
-im still waiting for the pix from VO
Updates! Updates! Updates!
Last weekend was superb!
What more could I ask for?
Spent the 2 days with my loved ones.
On Saturday night we went to Geylang and Bedok to look for Hari Raya’s outfits. Tried to get all done and over with the shoppings before Ramadhan.
sigh! We expedited on the shopping spree at G so that we will be able to have more time but the shop at Bedok was closed! So much for the rush!!

Also, We met Uncle D and wife at Yokoso :)

We headed to Central for our dinner @ Banquet. Both me & Eddris had chicken noodles, the bigger kids indulged in Fish N Chips, Mak had her HorFun and surprisingly Ani had Sweet Sour Fish Rice. And Najmi was happily pouring water on Mak?!

Mak was contented that she got herself some shirts, while the rest were just enjoying to be in the busy crowd looking at and getting nothing heehe..

Sunday was NOT at all sunny but snowy!
Yeah! The anticipated visit to the Snow City was accomplished with lots of fun and laughter….
